Responsibilities for Caregivers

• Performs personal care needs according to the client's personalized plan of care 

• Bathing/hair washing 

• Oral hygiene 

• Dressing and or assistance 

• Administering medication 

• Changing bed linens 

• Plans and prepares nutritious meals as assigned 

• Assists in feeding 

• Takes and records temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure 

• Reports on clients condition and significant changes to the home manager

• Assists in ambulation and exercise of the client 

• Performs wound care, exercise or other treatments as ordered by medical practitioner with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency

• Keeps the clients living area clean and orderly, as assigned 

• Respectful of client/family/caregiver environment and the clients personal needs 

• Performs housekeeping and laundry services to maintain environmental standards 

• Adheres to the organization’s documentation and care procedures, standards of personal and professional conduct, including interpersonal communications with your team, your client and your management team
